Odour Reducing Technology

All of our Smart Toilets and Bidet Seats have a special integrated O3 production unit.  Very small amounts of O3 (ozone) is not at all harmful to the environment.  It oxidizes most matter upon contact.  Thereafter it readily reverts to oxygen (O2).  (It actually benefits the depleted ozone layer around the Earth.)   Whenever the O3 system is operating, the green light/ozone icon(768/H) on the Rear Indicator/Display Panel will flash.  O3 has a slightly pungent – almost medical smell about it.  It is heavier than air.  Approx 10 seconds after Seat Sensor activation, our Smart Toilets and Bidet Seats deliver a small amount of O3 into the toilet bowl.  This descends and covers the surface of the bowl water with an invisible thin layer, thereby eliminating nearly all of the unpleasant odours that may be associated with any matter in the lower bowl region.

Then just as the flush cycle is finishing, our Smart Toilet again sends a small amount of O3 into the toilet bowl – to leave it fresh and hygienic for the next use.

Our Smart Toilets also have a dedicated fan in the area behind the seat.  This small 1 watt, brushless motor switches on when either of the Seat Sensors are activated.  It switches off 20 seconds after you leave the toilet seat.  The fan draws air from underneath the seat, and upper toilet bowl vicinity.  The air is then passed through a photo-catalytic filter, before being expelled into the cavity under the back of the Smart Toilet. (Photo-catalytic filters are commonly used in nearly all domestic air purifiers.)  This feature works in conjunction with the O3 system to further eliminate unpleasant odours that may occur with toilet use.
